I started this blog while vacationing over in Europa, partly to appease certain inquisitive relatives and friends, and partly to crystalize the various thoughts I was having at the time. I have found it to be a most gratifying activity and encourage everyone to start a blog of their own. Initially I was using Blogger, but I've since done my own implementation (read this entry to know why I would bother). There are links at the bottom of the page for viewing different parts of the blog.

As explained in the forward, this document describes a week-long vacation I and my sister had in New York City, in the spring of the year 2000.

I haven't written poetry for years now, but I used to pursue it back in high school. During my senior year, while taking some vocational graphic arts courses at a local community college, I even published a book of my poems, entitled "My First Poems: A Guided Tour". (10 copies in print!) You can read its contents here. Of course, most of them suck as badly as that title does, but you may find something you like. I also have a miscellaneous collection of other poems I've written.

These song reviews were originally emails I was sending out to a handful of people, mainly because I just felt like writing. They didn't go very far, but there they are. Maybe I'll add to them in the future, but now that I've discovered blogging, I prefer its freer form.
