This is a frame-based tool for examining my collection of tileable background images. There are two views, one for
two-way backgrounds,
which tile both vertically and horizontally, and one for
wide backgrounds,
which are not meant to be tiled horizontally. (Of course, there's no preventing this with most Web browsers:
the idea is they should be wide enough to extend beyond the right-hand side of the page.) Anyway, you can
look through my collection by clicking the filenames in the right-hand frame. The periodic links that say
"reload frame" are useful for updating that index, so that you can tell which images you've already viewed.
The images in the left-hand frame are displayed as page backgrounds, so that they will tile. If you see
something you like, your browser should have a way of saving a background image.
If you grok Java and are curious about my source code, you can view it
here. In fact I plan to release it all as
open source, so feel free to use it as such.
